The process allows slowness as much as it demands it. I use that time to orient, to explore, to gently guide, and ultimately to discover. What we make is shaped by what’s possible in that moment alone.
A sitting can mark a time or a milestone. It can also be built around an idea: an object, a costume, a piece of art, a custom backdrop, or something you’d like to try. Tell me about it ahead of time, and we’ll work out what the process can do with it.
When you arrive, we'll talk over our intentions, and then we'll make each plate one by one, the images rising in the tray before your eyes as we go. Each is made in about fifteen minutes, from raw materials and wet chemistry to an image that is nearly final.
Once they're varnished, you can pick up your plates later the same day, or I'll ship them to you.
